- Compare to Loss Budget: Use a calculated loss budget based on fiber type, length, splices, and connectors to determine if the measured loss is within acceptable limits .
Optional Extended Testing
For detailed analysis of individual splices and connectors, an Optical Time Domain Reflectometer (OTDR) can be used.
